Volunteer with us
We have the following Volunteer positions with us:
- Hydrology expert – Someone who can guide the “Integrated flood resilience” project.
Integrated Flood Resilience is a project wherein we study the topography and devise solutions to manage excess water for livelihoods. We use connected techniques/ processes – surface drainage, sub-surface drainage and bio drainage. The water is then used for agriculture, fisheries, plantations and recharge groundwater.
The project has evolved over time using traditional knowledge of farmers and fishermen. We need it to be driven by scientific methods so as to make if effective. This would help us replicate the projects to other regions.
- Project co-ordinator – Rural electrification project at Dhadgaon in Nandurbar district (which is about 350kms from Mumbai). Volunteer will have to interact with villagers, plant suppliers and govt. officials to set up of the off grid power plant. They will get first hand experience in how technology can lead to development and improve the standard of living in rural areas.
- Change Agent –
We are looking for volunteers who can help the social enterprises associated with us, to refine their business models, scale up and assist in interaction with various stakeholders like the Government, financiers, etc.
